Immediate Opening: Program Analyst, FAA Technical Center

Spectrum Software Technology (SST) is currently seeking a motivated Project Analyst for its civil aviation programs. The position requires a minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Information System, Business Administration, Accounting, or related fields and 5 years of relevant experience.  This position is located at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)’s William J. Hughes Technical Center adjacent to the Atlantic City International Airport, New Jersey.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Candidate will work as part of SST’s civil aviation programs supporting the FAA projects. Project analyst support will include the following activities: (1) Lead the documentation, information, and requirements management effort for new FAA ground-based navigation acquisitions; (2) Develop and maintain requirements tractability matrices (RTMs); (3) Participate in technical meetings and requirements working group meetings by taking notes, recording action items, and publishing meeting minutes; (4) Develop and maintain a project schedule; (5) Use MS Office products, including PowerPoint and Visio, to produce presentations and hand-out materials of a highly technical nature; (6) Conduct editing and peer review on technical documentation.  
Candidate must have good verbal and written communication skills, which are necessary for technical reports and presentations, and work well in both group and individual assignments.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any related field that include at least 24 semester hours in any combination of the following fields: accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management is required
  • Requires minimum 5 years’ relevant experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project and/or Primavera
  • Experience with DOORS
  • Experience with Government Acquisition and Life-Cycle Management policies and procedures
  • Exceptional analytical, documentation, and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well independently and with a team
  • Must be US Citizen or Green Card holder

PREFERRED/OPTIONAL SKILLS:

  • Familiarity with navigation and landing systems is not required but a plus
  • Experience with technical projects (e.g. Software or Engineering projects)
