SST is proud to be in a multi-year FAA SE-2020 Systems Engineering Contract with Boeing to support NextGen R&D
(May 26, 2010) The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) awarded Boeing and its team the Systems Engineering (SE) 2020 contract to support research and development for the Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen). The contract is worth up to $1.7 billion and consists of a five-year base with additional options for another five years. The Boeing team consists of the best of industry and has the right breadth and depth of capabilities to provide the comprehensive research and effective systems engineering support needed to help the FAA to turn the NextGen goals and visions into reality quickly and successfully.
Spectrum Software Technology, Inc. (SST) is a key partner on the Boeing team. SST has extensive knowledge of the National Airspace System (NAS) and provides exceptional software engineering services for Air Traffic Management (ATM) systems.
The Boeing team also includes Adacel, Airbus, Cessna, Ensco, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Harris, Honeywell, Jeppesen, Jerry Thompson & Associates, Lockheed Martin, Mosaic ATM, Tetra AMT, and the Washington Consulting Group.
In addition to the Boeing contract, the FAA also awarded SE2020 contracts to General Dynamics and ITT. Total worth of these three contracts is potentially $4.4 billion.
