System Administrator-BOSS
Spectrum Software Technology (SST) is currently seeking a highly motivated System Administrator for its Homeland Security programs. The position requires an AS or higher in related fields and 5+ years supporting IT systems. Relevant certifications a plus. This position is located at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)’s William J. Hughes Technical Center adjacent to the Atlantic City International Airport, New Jersey.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems. Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. Provides support to IT systems including: day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client problems. Provides second level problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems. Provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remain involved in the resolution process. Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Must possess experience in one or more systems and architectures and associated hardware: mainframe, mini, or client/server based.
Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments which are broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks. Has the ability to apply a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments. Plans and leads major technology assignments. Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success. Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments. May supervise others.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Associates Degree or higher
5+ years experience supporting and troubleshooting IT systems
IT Certifications a plus
US Citizen or Green Card Holder
