Sr Oracle Database Administrator

Spectrum Software Technology (SST) is currently seeking a highly motivated Sr Oracle Database Administrator for its civil aviation programs. The position requires a strong Oracle DBA background, 8+ years of relevant experience, BS in related field a plus.. This position is located at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)’s William J. Hughes Technical Center adjacent to the Atlantic City International Airport, New Jersey. (Temporarily Remote)

PRINCIPAL SKILLS:

• Oracle 11gR2 / 12c Database Administration
• Oracle Database Backup and Recovery (RMAN)
• Experience with Oracle 12c / 11g ASM (Automatic Storage Management) 
• RAID configuration experience
• Oracle 12c / 11gR2 RAC (Real Application Clusters) Administration

HELPFUL SKILLS BUT NOT REQUIRED:

• C/C++ Programming
• PL/SQL Programming (proficiency with SQL query language assumed).
• OCI (Oracle Call Interface) programming experience
• Bash Shell Programming
• Knowledge of Oracle 11g Enterprise Manager
• Fibre Channel SAN administration
• Network Administration -- configuring network interfaces and routes
• DNS Administration (BIND)
• DHCP Administration (ISC)
• Subversion software version control system
• UNIX/Linux (POSIX) System Programming
• Network (Sockets) Programming
• Database Performance Tuning
• Solaris SMF (Service Management Facility) service creation / configuration
• Linux System Administration

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field a plus
• Requires minimum 8-years relevant experience
• Strong Oracle knowledge
• DBA experience
• Analytical / problem solving aptitude
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Professional attitude
• Must be US Citizen or Green Card holder
